Coconut Islands can be a name suggested to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India. With a social and cultural significance the fruit has heavy bearing on the people of the Andaman.

Tropical subsistence crop originated from the Malayan region of Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines from where it dispersed to the coasts of the coral Islands and therefore became a home to varied varieties of coconuts.
This diversity is truly exceptional and beautiful in its own way. Few characteristics can be enlisted as horned fruits, soft endosperm, beaked fruits, palms along with petiole, floral bearing etc.
Benefits of this crown fruit named “coconut” can be seen as- • A combination of fats, protein, varied important minerals, and also small amounts of B vitamins. • Cause many building functions in the body like bone health due to the manganese content, metabolism due to carbohydrates, proteins and cholestrol. • Enhance the content of red blood cells in the body due to the presence of copper and iron. • Can be eaten in different forms like Dried coconut, coconut water, coconut cream which is present inside the fresh one, the white meat inside is known as 'kernel'.
So one must take the fruit analysing the requirements of its mineral and fat content, as a rich fat fruit might cause an issue in excess intake. Eat accordingly, and enjoy the fruit!
